Emission’s standards for diesel vehicles are becoming stricter, putting the use of selective catalytic reduction (SCR) to reduce exhaust emissions of nitrogen oxides on the rise. Rogers Corporation’s NITROPHYL® floats are key in the performance of these systems. NITROPHYL® floats are used in the level sensing of the urea solution used in SCR systems.
NITROPHYL® is highly resistant to urea/water solutions. Its excellent low temperature properties ensure a higher level of crack resistance than most other plastics. Rogers Corporation’s manufacturing and engineering experience allows for the production of highly precise, complex custom shapes. Any variety of inserts, including ring magnets and bar magnets, can be easily incorporated into the float design.
