Level monitoring of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) is important in a wide variety of applications. Any consumer or industrial process involving the filling or storing of LPG in a tank or vessel benefits from the use of a level sensor, and the quality of that sensor depends greatly on the quality of the float. Level sensors can be used for high or low level sensing and alarms, leak detection, overfill shutoff and regulating the interface between levels of different media. From both a safety and process management perspective, the quality of the fuel float can be critical to performance. Rogers’ NITROPHYL® NBR floats improve performance and reliability in liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) applications, including:

  • Overfill protection valves for consumer propane tanks
  • Liquid level sensing for LPG distributors and retail merchants
  • Level sensing in automobiles that run on LPG
