RF designers have begun working with applications at higher frequencies in the past few years. The recent advancement of millimeter-wave (mmWave) technology has enabled applications such as 5G and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). RF engineers working at mmWave frequencies have different concerns than they had in the past with applications at lower frequencies. This blog is part one of a two-part series which addresses the transition for RF design considerations at lower frequencies to design considerations at mmWave frequencies, from a basic RF design perspective.
