As we work through the coronavirus pandemic, I find myself continually impressed with the collective response of the Rogers global community. Although we know there is a long way to go, I’m confident that the strength and resilience displayed by Rogers employees will continue as we support one another, as well as our families, communities, customers and suppliers.

Our Suzhou, China campus is back to work and following all safety precautions. They have been a tremendous source of knowledge and encouragement to our teams in other parts of Asia, as well as our sites in Europe and the U.S. I want to extend my sincere gratitude to our Suzhou team.

We have remained steadfast in our commitment to employee health and well-being. In addition to escalating social distancing and disinfection protocols in our plants, we have implemented a mask program and temperature scans for all personnel who enter our sites. Our office staff made a smooth transition to working from home and we are providing them with support resources as they adjust to a virtual work environment. We have received a positive response from many employees for the changes we made to our sick time, vacation and pay policies to assist them as they care for their families.

Our manufacturing, supply chain and EH&S teams are partnering at the site level to ensure that our plants remain operational – and moreover, safe – as we maintain business continuity for our global customers. In addition, Rogers supply chain leadership is in touch with our suppliers daily, monitoring availability of raw materials. Further, we continue to execute on contingency plans in our global facilities to minimize disruption to customers.

We are proud of what Rogers brings to the coronavirus fight, as we engineer and manufacture products for critical industries that support the global community. For example, we are supplying our highly engineered materials for sealing and gasketing solutions for ventilators and respirators, as well as medical face shields, COVID-19 test kits and other medical necessities.

This is a unique company. We’re approaching our 190-year anniversary and some things have simply become part of our DNA, chief among them being determination, resilience and innovation. While current circumstances can be distracting, we are not losing sight of our foundational commitments to everyday safety behaviors to prevent injuries, as well as ethics and integrity, as we continue to provide world-class solutions to meet the demanding requirements of our customers around the world.

I wish you peace of mind and good health.

Stay safe,

Bruce Hoechner
