Rogers Corporation Launches PORON® SlimGrip Plus; the Softest PORON Material to Date with Increased Cohesive Strength for Ease of Processing
Chandler, Arizona, December 10, 2019 – Rogers Corporation (NYSE:ROG) announced today the launch of PORON® SlimGrip Plus foam, the softest PORON polyurethane material to date with increased cohesive strength for ease of processing. The high level of compressibility and superior compression set resistance make PORON® SlimGrip Plus ideal for sealing applications with low compression set requirements.
PORON SlimGrip Plus foam is the latest update to the original PORON® SlimGrip material, offering an even stronger formulation in which the surface of the material is more resistant to tears or rips. The product is able to fill extremely thin design requirements ensuring no gap filling is overlooked, making it ideal for portable electronics. Despite its thin size, PORON SlimGrip Plus foam maintains excellent rebound properties and has no incompressible layers. Additionally, the material is 50% more effective at dust sealing than competitive materials, helping to protect the integrity of displays.
“The update to our hugely successful PORON SlimGrip line offers our customers even greater benefits in terms of product durability,” said Karen He, Asia Marketing Manager for Rogers Corporation’s Elastomeric Material Solutions business. “When manufacturing portable electronics, space is tight and display performance is critical, Rogers PORON SlimGrip Plus foam serves as the perfect material to meet these specifications.”
